C.S. Lewis once noted that “courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point.” Mark Twain also famously said “Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear.”
The very fact that you’re taking the first step toward psychological health is courageous and I’m grateful that you’re here and considering me to walk alongside you on your journey toward growth. I don’t believe that your problems are pathological but simply maladaptive patterns of behavior implemented over time.
The good news is… patterns of behavior can change. As we work through your struggles we will identify your strengths and values and use those to lead the way. Whatever struggles you face, I’m here to help and I encourage you to reach out via phone or email to talk with you about beginning the process.
